Greenfield made it 6 from 6 points with a comfortable victory over York FC to stay top of the league.
A brace from Mike Scully gave Greenfield a two goal advantage, the first being a flicked header from a Mike Henthorn long throw, the second a cool finish folllowing a Rob Ablewhite flick on.
York got a goal back in very disappointing fashion, Lewis and Duffy both had chances to clear the ball before stand in keeper Burrows was beaten.
Fortunately, Greenfield went straight back up the other end and added two more goals before half-time. A screamer from Rob Ablewhite on his left foot found the top corner, then a header from Ablewhite sealed the points following a great team move down the right wing which saw Mike Scully break free and cross.
4-1 at half-time and how Greenfield did not go on to score another 4/5 goals I don't know !?
A good team performance, Mike Henthorn in particular looking impressive at fullback, whilst Martin Bromiley in his first game of the season controlled the midfield and the front two of Ablewhite and Scully caused York problems for the full 90 minutes.
MOM awarded to Mike Scully edging out Martin Bromiley and Mike Henthorn. But not an easy choice with so many strong performances.
Next up is Prescot Leisure FC at home.
