For the second week in a row, Danson Boys found themselves 2-0 down in the early stages of the game.
Danson Boys started well in this game and were on top for the first 10 minutes, firing shots in from all angles. Mitchell B, in the Danson goal did not have a shot to save. But with some good goalkeeping from
Sam Monts keeper and Danson's failure to find the net, Sam Mont scored 2 breakaway goals on 11 and 14 minutes, totally against the run of play.
The 'Bhoys' spirit and will to win came through again and on 15 minutes pulled a goal back, when Ben B netted from close range. Max B came on just after the goal was scored and from then on it was all Danson. Their constant pressure on Sam Monts goal was rewarded in the 18th minute, when Tate R netted superbly to level the score.
Danson kept the pressure on right up until half time.
Tobi A came on at the start of the second half and immediately made an impact. 2 minutes after the restart, he picked the ball up just over the halfway line and went on one of his speedy runs down the right flank.
Putting in a cross, come shot he scored to put Danson ahead.
A minute later Danson were awarded a penalty for handball. The resulting penalty kick was put wide and the score remained at 3-2.
This gave Sam Mont the heart to fight back and they gradually got back into the game. Mitchell B, in the Danson goal, pulled off a magnificent save after 8 minutes of the second half. But continuous pressure from Sam Mont, resulted in the equaliser on 38 minutes.
To their credit, the 'Bhoys' did not give up. 2 minutes later Ross E went on a dazzling run, beating at least 4 players before thumping the ball into the bottom corner of the net. What a goal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Danson leading 4-3 and with 10 minutes remaining, some great defending by Frankie B and Michael A, kept Sam Mont at bay.
With some great attempts at goal from Lewis C and George R and Robert Cs contribution, Danson, although not playing to their potential, secured another valuable win to keep them top of the league, on goal difference.
